Kids Crafts: Make a Robot

Repurposing, Reusing, Recycling - it's so easy to apply these principles in crafting with kids! Lately, we have been repurposing packaging boxes. And we've been having lots of fun! Have a peek into a Saturday morning in our home - it's all about robots! It looks like discarded packaging has nearly no limits when it comes to crafting. Like other open ended materials, it gives a lot of space for creativity and freedom in kids' play. I must admit, I was so happy when our kid, after a week {a week!} of train obsession, came to a decision it was time to make a robot. Out of boxes. We searched for packaging boxes around the house and came up with a nice pile: A few minutes and three types of glue and tape later... the robot started growing, box by box. And then he made two big robots, not one.  What followed was a two-week art exhibition in our kitchen. Happy crafting! MORE POSTS YOU MIGHT LIKE:
